Homework does not change much throughout the year. For the most part students will do the same thing every night of every week with few variations. Students must read for 20 minutes every night and practice addition and subtraction facts.

*Please make sure your child is reading every night and that you write the book title and initial on their reading logs.

“Our Rules”

1. We will show respect and have good manners.

2. We will keep our hands and feet to ourselves.

3. We will listen and follow directions.

4. We will finish classwork and homework assignments.

5. We will keep the halls Quiet.

Behavior Plan

Each child will have a MAGNET with their magic number written on it.  Every day the whole class starts with "Ready to learn."  If he/she chooses not to follow the rules, after the first warning, they will move their MAGNET down the behavior chart for poor choices.  If there is a consistent behavior problem, the teacher will send a note home or make a phone call. After that, students can move up the behavior chart for good choices. 

4  (Excellent Behavior)-receive a small reward for “Excellent Behavior.”

3 (Good Behavior)-no loss of recess time and a chance to get a Jacket Pride Ticket.

2  (Okay Behavior)-lose 5 minutes of recess and a smaller chance to get Jacket Pride Ticket.

1 (Poor Behavior)-lose 15 minutes off of recess and a note sent home.

0 (Unacceptable Behavior)-lose all recess time and a phone call home.

Positive rewards

When you follow the rules, you will earn: praise (daily), brag tags, a positive note sent home, Jacket Pride Tickets, stickers, positive acknowledgments (Compliments, high fives, etc.)
