Degrees and Certifications:
I graduated from Campbell University in May 2016, with a degree in Elementary Education with an extension in Special Education, and a minor in Studio Art. I graduated from North Carolina State University in December 2018 with a Masters in Elementary Education and a K-6 Math Specialist License.

Welcome to third grade!
This is my 9th year teaching at Coats Elementary! I am very excited to have your child in the classroom and look forward to an exciting year. I love working with children and finding ways to engage and inspire them. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, and going to the beach in my free time. Students will use Google Classroom on a regular basis during class. Teachers will provide students with a "Join" code or a link to join through student email accounts. For security purposes, codes are only shared with currently enrolled students. Students, please remember that you will need to log into your Google account with your school username (XXXXX@harnettstudents.org) and password (your PowerSchool #).

Each morning students will write down their homework in their agendas. Please check your child's agenda for daily homework assignments and any updates.

Policies & Procedures
Behavior: We use Classroom Dojo to track classroom behavior. Parents can join and look at their child's daily behavior as well as communicate with the teacher. There is an app you can download to your smartphone or you can use the website www.classdojo.com.
Attendance: If your child is absent please send a note within three days, or it is considered unexcused. The tardy bell rings at 8:25. If your child is not here by this time or does not have an excuse note, it is considered an unexcused tardy.
