2nd Grade Teacher - Dual Language (English)
Welcome to 2nd Grade!
I am from Fuquay Varina, NC and attended Harnett county schools growing up. I graduated from Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC with my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. This is my 15th year teaching 2nd grade at Coats Elementary and I absolutely love it. I was the Coats Elementary Teacher of the year for the 2016-2017 school year. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my amazing family: my husband, Joshua, my 21 year old stepson, Josiah, my 7 year old daughter, Lexi, and my 3 year old daughter, Nova. I truly believe that teaching is my calling. Teaching is not always easy, but I am encouraged daily by my favorite quote " A teacher preserves the past, reveals the present and creates the future." ~Author unknown
