My name is Alejandro Osuna Palafox, and I am originally from Los Mochis, Sinaloa,Mexico. I have over eight years of experience working as an elementary school teacher in a variety of educational settings. I am deeply committed to helping my students reach their full potential by incorporating engaging activities and materials that align with their interests and passions.
I earned my degree from Escuela Normal de Sinaloa, one of the most prestigious teacher training institutions in my home state. I am proud to be part of this exceptional school community, where I have the opportunity to share my language and culture with my students while also learning from theirs.
Mi nombre es Alejandro Osuna Palafox y soy originario de Los Mochis, Sinaloa,México. Cuento con más de ocho años de experiencia como maestro de educación primaria, habiendo trabajado en diversos entornos educativos. Estoy profundamente comprometido con ayudar a mis estudiantes a alcanzar su máximo potencial, utilizando actividades y materiales que se alinean con sus intereses y pasiones.
Me gradué de la Escuela Normal de Sinaloa, una de las instituciones formadoras de docentes más prestigiosas de mi estado natal. Me siento orgulloso de formar parte de esta comunidad educativa excepcional, donde tengo la oportunidad de compartir mi idioma y cultura con mis estudiantes, así como de aprender también de ellos.

7:45 - 8:25: Trabajo de la Mañana ( Morning Work)
8:30 - 10:05: Español (SLA)
10:10 - 10:55: Clases Especiales (Enhancements)
11: 00 - 12:00: Trabajo Independiente (Independent Work)
12:05 - 12:30 : Almuerzo (Lunch)
12:35 - 2:00 : Matemáticas (Math)
2:00 - 2:30: Ciencias Sociales (Social Studies)
2:30 - 3:00: Receso (Recess)
3:05: Fin de Día (End of the school Day)

Policies & Procedures
Absences: If your child is absent, please send in a note that is signed and dated with the reason your child is out within 3 days of the absence.
Ausencias: Si su hijo está ausente, envíe una nota firmada y fechada con el motivo de la ausencia dentro de los 3 días posteriores a la ausencia.
Tardies: The tardy bell rings at 8:20 and we like to begin our day ASAP. If your child arrives after 8:20 they must get a note from the front office. As a reminder tardies are very disruptive, please try to avoid them as much as possible.
As a reminder your child may NOT come to the classroom before 7:45 in the morning. This is for safety reasons and we do not want children unattended roaming the halls.
Tardanzas: La campana suena a las 8:20 y nos gusta empezar el día lo antes posible. Si su hijo llega después de las 8:20, debe obtener una nota de la oficina principal. Como recordatorio, las tardanzas son muy disruptivas, por favor trate de evitarlas tanto como sea posible.
Le recordamos que su hijo/a NO puede venir al aula antes de las 7:45 de la mañana. Esto es por seguridad y no queremos que los niños anden solos por los pasillos.
Homework: Check the Homework folder daily for homework. Also, please read EVERY night with your child daily.
Tarea: Revise la carpeta de tareas diariamente para ver si hay tareas. Además, lea TODAS las noches con su hijo a diario.
Leaving School Early: Many parents want to leave with their child before dismissal time. If it is a medical/dental appt. that is appropriate. When children are taken out early, it disrupts the day for them and the class. Please be thoughtful about this situation and try to keep those times to a minimum. Thanks!
Salida Temprana de la Escuela: Muchos padres desean irse con sus hijos antes de la hora de salida. Si se trata de una cita médica o dental, es apropiado. Cuando los niños salen temprano, se interrumpe el día para ellos y la clase. Por favor, sea considerado con esta situación y trate de mantener esos tiempos al mínimo. ¡Gracias!
Class Dojo: If you have not signed up for Class Dojo, please do so in order to view your child's daily behavior report. I do not send home any reports unless it is necessary and provide Class Dojo as an instant report to why your child has recieved or lost points.
Class Dojo: Si no se ha registrado en Class Dojo, hágalo para ver el informe diario de comportamiento de su hijo. No envío a casa ningún informe a menos que sea necesario y proporciono Class Dojo como un informe instantáneo de por qué su hijo ha recibido o perdido puntos.

Google Classroom
Students will use Google Classroom on a regular basis during class. Teachers will provide students with a "Join" code or a link to join through student email accounts. For security purposes, codes are only shared with currently enrolled students. Students, please remember that you will need to log into your Google account with your school username (XXXXX@harnettstudents.org) and password (your PowerSchool #).
