Biography:

I joined the Coats Erwin Middle School staff in 2019 as an ELA teacher for seventh grade. I spent three years teaching seventh grade and then at the start of the 2022-23 school year, I began teaching eighth-grade ELA. I started my teaching career in Pennsylvania. In 2006, I moved to San Diego and worked as an educator and instructional designer. In 2018, I moved to North Carolina to be closer to family and continue to work as an educator. I began my academic career at the University of Pittsburgh where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. After graduation, I enrolled in Seton Hill College in Greensburg, Pennsylvania where I earned my teaching degree and worked as an Instructional Assistant and ELA teacher in both middle and high school. My passion for learning and teaching led me to earn my Masters Degree in Adult Education and Communications Technology. I worked as an Instructional Designer in Pennsylvania and California designing corporate e-learning. As a life-long learner with a deep passion for teaching, I am honored to continue my teaching career at Coats Erwin Middle School for the school year 2023-2024.
