Dunn Middle School will host its Junior Beta Club Induction Ceremony on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 9:30 AM in the school auditorium. Families and friends are invited to join us as we celebrate our newest Beta Club members and their academic achievement and leadership.

Students should wear dressy, school-appropriate attire, with black preferred to create a unified and distinguished look for this special occasion.

Attention 8th grade students and parents.... Graduation practices will be held on Wednesday, March 21, at 1:00 pm, and on Thursday, March 22, at 10:00 am. It is the expectation that all 8th-grade students are present for practice.

We’re pleased to share that our district has partnered with Hazel Health to provide free virtual therapy services for students. This partnership offers students access to therapy appointments after school hours, helping to ensure they receive the support they need at a time that works for them. Please refer to the attached flyer for more information. If you have any questions, feel free to contact your child’s School Counselor or School Social Worker. Families can begin submitting consent forms and accessing services at hazel.co/get-hazel starting on 4/8/25 at 1pm.

Rising Greewaves! Now is the time to secure your spot for DMS's Summer Bridge program for rising 6th graders beginning July 15 - July 18 from 8 am to 2:15 pm. Come home to Harnett! We will be hosting a face-to-face recruitment event on Tuesday, June 11 at the Harnett County Public Library and Resource Center. This is a floating event that will begin at 2:00 PM and end around 4:00 PM. We are currently recruiting for all positions, both certified and classified. Students are strictly prohibited from using /possessing a cell phone or any electronic device aside from assigned chromebook during testing sessions to ensure validity of test scores. Test Jam will take place on Friday, May 24th: Students must complete EOG's to be eligible for Test Jam! Go Greenwaves!

8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be held at Dunn Middle School on May 29th at 8:30

8th-grade promotion ceremony practice will be Thursday, May 23 at 12:45pm, and Friday, May 24 at 8:30am. All 8th-grade students and 7th-grade Marshals must be in attendance.

Good Evening Greenwaves! Tomorrow, 8th graders will take the Science EOG! Please make sure students arrive to school no later than 7:35 am in order to begin testing on time. It is essential to note that students are strictly prohibited from using or possessing a cell phone or any electronic device aside from an assigned chromebook during EOGs' testing sessions.
