My name is Jeffrey Davis. I am a Harnett County native and have never ventured far home. My love of the community, its people, the countryside, the farms that were so much a part of my early childhood, and the majestic Cape Fear River has always drawn me back, regardless of where my work and travels have taken me. I grew up in Lillington and graduated from Harnett Central High School in 1993. I married my high school sweetheart and moved to Dunn in 1998. I have two amazing children: a daughter who is currently teaching Science in Johnston Co. and a son here at Dunn Middle. I am honored to be here at Dunn Middle School, where I can give back to a community that has given so much to me.

I am a graduate of Fayetteville State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature; and a prestigious Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society member. I interned briefly as a copy editor for the online magazine GLINT, and continue to be an avid reader and writer. I aspire to bring my passion for creative writing and reading to every minute and every student in my class.

In addition to my scholastic endeavors, I am an avid outdoor enthusiast, an aspiring chef, and a sports fan. It is this last hobby that calls me away most. I have been involved in youth sports for the last 17 years, almost all of it in the sport of Fastpitch Softball. I currently coach a High School level Showcase team and have had the distinct honor of watching over 20 of my players receive collegiate offers. I bring the same energy and passion that I have in the classroom to the field and the same level of expectation that I have for my players on the field to the classroom. Everywhere is a classroom, and every minute is an opportunity to learn something new.
