Ms. Kim Hansen
Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Kimberly Hansen and this is my 36th year of teaching, the last 28 years being in Harnett County. I have taught in my home state of Illinois and then I applied to be a Peace Corp Volunteer. Upon acceptance, I moved to Uganda, East Africa, where I taught native educators how to meet the educational needs of African children. Upon my return to the continental United States, I moved to and taught in Connecticut, where I have extended family. Warmer weather called me to North Carolina, and I have enjoyed making my home here for the past 25 years. I have experience teaching Kindergarten through Fifth grades, and love helping students learn and grow! Thank you for the opportunity to teach your child.

In 1983, I graduated from Streator High School (GO BULLDOGS!) in Illinois.
From 1983 to 1985, I attended Illinois Valley Community College where I earned my Associate of Arts Degree.
In 1986, I transferred my credits from IVCC to Illinois State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in the spring of 1988.
