My name is Trina Walker, this will be my 7th year here at Erwin Elementary. I had worked with the district for several years before coming to EES and I love teaching 5th grade. I began working at CEMS as a TA for several years before transferring to Triton for 3 years. I am from Florida, I have 2 children and have been married 34 years. We moved to North Carolina in 2003 so my daughter could attend NC schools and NC is where my son was born. As a family we were active in scouting and love hiking and camping as well as all kinds of cooking. My son even obtained the rank of Eagle Scout his senior year of hight school. I am excited to see what this year will bring and meeting all my new students and their families.

Graduated: Methodist University - Cum Laude with a degree in Justice Studies and a minor in Forensic Science - with 4 additional classes. I also have AS in Technical Design, that I used to do power plant engineering and other projects.
I also attended ECU for my teacher course work finishing with a 3.6 GPA.
