Meet the Principal

Walter McPherson Jr.

Dr. Jasmine N. Nixon

Dear Harnett County Early College Families,

It is with great enthusiasm that I write to you as the new principal of Harnett County Early College! As many of you know, I recently completed my fifth year as a middle school principal. I have previously served as an assistant principal (elementary and secondary settings) and taught high school science.

I grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina. My father is a military veteran who served with the 82nd Airborne Division. My mother is a healthcare administrator. I have three sisters. I am the proud aunt of four boys and two girls.

I truly believe that our school is a unique opportunity for students in Harnett County.  I want  to thank our families for trusting all of us at HCEC as partners in your child’s education.  I’m excited to embark on this journey with you and your family.

Sincerely,
Dr. Nixon
