First Sergeant (R) Anthony D. Cannon

I have been proudly serving as an educator at Harnett Central High School since August 2017, following a distinguished 27-year career in the United States Army. During my military service, I held a variety of leadership roles—including Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Drill Sergeant, and First Sergeant—which provided me with a broad and deep foundation in leadership, discipline, and mentorship.

Now, as an instructor, I bring that wealth of leadership experience into the classroom, striving to instill those same values in my cadets. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in General Studies and am deeply passionate about teaching. It is incredibly rewarding to witness the growth and transformation of students as they mature into responsible and capable young adults.
