Arwin Frank Alunan is an international mathematics teacher with 17 years of teaching experience, specializing in mathematics. His journey began in the Philippines, where he spent 15 years at Liceo de Cagayan University, teaching junior and senior high school mathematics, as well as serving as a part-time instructor in the College of Education.

Seeking new challenges, Frank ventured to the United States of America, where he has been teaching for the past two years, first at Star Academy and currently as a seventh-grade mathematics teacher at Harnett Central Middle School. Frank’s dedication to education is reflected in his academic achievements, having graduated from Bukidnon State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education, major in mathematics, and completing a master’s degree in Teaching Mathematics at Xavier University. He is a licensed professional teacher in both the Philippines and North Carolina, holding educator’s licenses for Mathematics 6-9 and Mathematics 9-12.

Beyond the classroom, Frank is deeply involved in promoting mathematics education, serving as the Mathematics Enthusiasts Society club coordinator from 2007 to 2018 and coaching students for local, national, and international mathematics competitions. He also presented his research paper entitled "Converting Customary and Metric Measures: The Level of Students' Mastery Learning " during the 3rd International Research Conference on Teacher Education and Indigenous People Education on November 20, 27 and December 04, 2021.

Outside of his professional life, Frank is a family man, with four children, and his life's motto reflects his philosophy: “Math is difficult if you don’t know how complicated life is.”
