My name is Mary Ann Sanders. I teach 6th grade ELA and am state certified in academically and intellectually gifted education.
I graduated from Lycoming College with a BA and received my teaching credentials from ECU.

I encourage all parents to sign up for the Parent Portal. This is real-time information on your child's assignments and grades. As I enter grades into Powerschool, you will be notified. You can not only see the overall grade, but the grade for each assignment and what work is missing.

Most of my work will be paper and pencil. It is my belief that the students spend enough time on the computer as it is. I try to get them off of the computer and get them reading. It is necessary at times for me to utilize the computer when we do not have enough copies of a story for each student to have their own. I then place a copy of the story on Google Classroom. I will also place a digital copy of the story when possible so that those that are absent may keep up with the reading.
Each core has its own classroom and code. Parents can join too!
