Transportation

Mrs. McNamara, Assistant Principal, is the transportation coordinator.  You may contact her at bmcnamara@harnett.k12.nc.us

Transportation Changes

All transportation changes must be submitted in writing. Please note for the safety of our students, we are unable to accept transportation changes over the phone.

Students that are requesting to be a guest rider on a bus, must submit all requests prior to 9:00am. We require a signed note from the parent/guardian of BOTH students.

Bus Riders

Please remember to allow approximately 15 minutes on either side of the designated stop times.

Bus App

The "Here Comes My Bus" application is being discontinued.  Chipmunk has replaced this application. Please remember that if a substitute bus is assigned to a route, information will not populate in the application.

We will do our best to assist you with questions, but because this is a third-party application, HCMS staff have limited knowledge and access.

Car Riders

Below are the expectations for the students and the person picking up the student. Adhering to these expectations will allow the line to move quickly and safely!

  • Students may be dropped off beginning at 7:10.  Students may go to breakfast or to the gym at 7:10.

  • Students are to be dropped off in the carpool line in front of the school only.

  • Students arriving after the tardy bell must be signed in by a parent.  The parent must walk the student into the school and present a valid ID.

Afternoon carpool:

  • Parents, please remind your student(s) to pay attention and look for your vehicle so there is no delay in you receiving your child.

  • Cars should pull up closely behind each other to allow maximum vehicle loading and movement.
