Meet the Teacher
Mrs. Sarah Witt

Hi there and welcome to all about our ESL program at Harnett Central Middle! My name is Sarah Witt and I have been teaching ESL or English as a Second Language in Harnett County Schools since 2006. I began serving ML (Multi-lingual) Learners at Angier Elementary in 2009 and started working full time at Harnett Central Middle in 2020, with ML learners in grades 6-8. I really enjoy hearing their stories and giving them opportunities to showcase their culture. These students are amazing individuals as they are having to study academic content while also learning a second language. There are currently 158 MLs at HCMS.
