Dear Highland Elementary School Community,
My name is Allison Thomas and I am excited about working with the students, their families, and the community at Highland Elementary School. I feel that we all need to work together in order to best serve our students. My leadership vision is to make a positive difference in the lives of children, every decision, every day is made for the children with the whole child in mind. I started my career 22 years ago in Harnett County as a School Counselor and served in that capacity for 17 years. I was very fortunate to be able to transition to a new role as an Assistant Principal and have served in this capacity for 5 years. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.
HES Mission (Why we exist?): At Highland Elementary School we believe in all children. We exist to inspire and prepare students to make a positive impact on their families, communities, and the world.
HES Vision (What is the long-term impact of our work?): Highland Elementary School, in partnership with parents and the community, will help children discover their gifts and make a positive difference in the world.

Greetings!
My name is Antoinette Bell, and I am excited to join this community of learners, educators, and families.
With 20+ years of experience in education, I am passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. I have had the privilege of working in various roles within the education sector, including teacher assistant, bus driver, receptionist, teacher, and administrative intern. I am a proud mother of two handsome young men, who hold the key to my heart. In my free time I enjoy spending time with them, my family and friends, traveling, and crafting.
At Highland Elementary School, my goal is to support our students in achieving their fullest potential by promoting academic excellence, emotional well-being, and a strong sense of community. I am committed to working collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to create a nurturing and engaging learning experience for all our students.
I look forward to meeting each of you and working together to make this school year a successful and memorable one.
