Hello! My name is Heather Niezgoda. I am a second grade dual language teacher at Highland Elementary school. The 2023-2024 school year starts my 19th year in Harnett County. This is my ninth year teaching second grade. I have previously taught five years in fifth grade. I have previously taught five years in fourth grade. This is my 9th year teaching 2nd grade, fourth year teaching dual language with Senorita Hernandez. I grew up in a small town, Lockport, New York. I went to Starpoint Central school from Kindergarten to 12th grade. I went to D'Youville College, in Buffalo, New York for my Bachelor's Degree. I have a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I moved to North Carolina to start my teaching career in 2005. I taught at Boone Trail Elementary for thirteen years. This will be my sixth year teaching at Highland Elementary.
