Meet the Teacher
Mrs. Walaschek
Welcome! My name is Sarah Walaschek. I am from Florida and moved to North Carolina five years ago. I’ve been married for 16 years. My husband and I have four children, ages 26, 15, 12, and 10. I also have a three year old grandson. I enjoy spending time with my family, church, hiking, traveling, and the lake. You will also find me at the barn with my daughter and her horse. This is my 22nd year of teaching - I’ve taught for 17 years in Florida and 5 years in North Carolina. I truly enjoy teaching. I've taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade again at Highland Elementary this year and am looking forward to a year full of learning!
