Meet the Teacher
Mr. Booth

Mr. Booth was born into a military family at Camp LeJeune, NC. He has spent most of his life in our state, graduating from Swansboro Highschool on North Carolina's east coast, and attending college at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (where he earned Bachelors Degrees in Communications Studies and English, and a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing). After graduation, Mr. Booth taught Introductory Composition and World Literature at Methodist College before pursuing a decade-long career in property management.
For the last 11 years, he has taught English and Language Arts to Harnett County Students at three different schools: Harnett Central, Overhills, and Highland Middle schools. This year he is proud to work with both seventh and eighth grade students.
Mr. Booth has been honored to receive the Outstanding Literacy Teacher Award from the North Carolina English Teachers Association, and was the 2020-21 Highland Middle School Teacher of the Year.
Daily Schedule
Mr. Booth teaches classes from 7:40 am through 12:30 pm.
He is available for conferences most weekdays from 12:30 pm to 1:50 pm.
