Meet the Teacher
Mrs. May
I have been teaching in Harnett County for the past four years, specializing in Self-Contained Multi-Categorical classrooms. I am also the girls soccer assistant coach. I am passionate about supporting diverse learners and helping each student reach their full potential in a positive, structured environment.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding child growth and development.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, our two children, and our three dogs. We love outdoor adventures—camping, bike rides, and exploring nature are some of our favorite family activities.
I’m proud to be part of this school community and look forward to a wonderful year ahead! Go Vikings!

ClassDojo
This year, our class will be using ClassDojo as a primary way to stay connected and build a positive classroom community. ClassDojo allows me to share important updates, reminders, and fun classroom moments with you in real time. You’ll be able to see how your child is doing throughout the day with behavior points, photos, and class stories.
It’s also a great way for us to communicate directly. I encourage all families to join our ClassDojo community so we can work together to support your child’s learning and growth. More information and login instructions will be sent home at the start of the year. Let’s make it a great one!
