Hello and welcome! My name is Ms. Wright, and I am honored to serve as the School Counselor for students with last names A–L at Highland Middle School. This is my fifth year at Highland and my 15th year working in education. I bring a diverse background that includes extensive classroom teaching experience as well as a strong foundation in school counseling. My journey in education has been deeply rooted in a passion for helping students discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential.

Originally from Ohio, I hold an Associate’s Degree in Arts and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I am currently pursuing a Dual Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling to further support the needs of our students, families, and school community.

At Highland, I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student feels seen, heard, and valued. Whether through individual counseling, small group sessions, or classroom guidance, my goal is to empower students to thrive both academically and personally.

Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, exploring new places, and spending quality time with my family. I believe that strong relationships are at the heart of everything we do, and I look forward to building meaningful connections with our students, parents, and staff throughout the year.

Together, let’s make this a fantastic year filled with growth, resilience, and success!
