Meet the Teacher
Mrs. Lynn Slakoper
Hi, I'm Lynn Slakoper, and an 8th grade math teacher here at Highland Middle School. My career with Highland Middle School started in 2021. Before becoming a teacher, I worked in group homes for at risk young people, at a YWCA as a sexual assault and domestic violence counselor, and at a hospital on its psychiatric floors as a mental health technician for inpatient adults and children.
I am married with two children. My husband's career has taken us from Pennsylvania, where we both grew up, to living in Germany for 5 years. After Germany, he obtained a job at Fort Bragg and we plan on living here in North Carolina for a long time.

Google Classroom
This year your child will need to be accessing Google Classroom every day for math. Google Classroom is where all assignments and resources are located. All class notes have corresponding videos so that absent students do not fall behind. Please have them refer to their classroom often.
