Meet the Teacher

Ms. Teresa Williams

Smiling woman sitting in sunny car

My name is Teresa Williams and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher. I’ll start by telling you a little about myself. This is my second year teaching at Highland Elementary School however I have worked as a teacher assistant for 16 years in Harnett County Schools. I attended Grand Canyon University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I did my  student teaching in Harnett County at Highland Elementary in first grade. I am originally from New York and have been living here in North Carolina for the past 24 years.

I feel strongly that in order for the school year to be successful, it is necessary for the child, teacher, and parent(s)/guardian to work together throughout  the school year. I would like you to know that I have expectations for each student and I want to nurture each student’s love of learning. I will strive to provide a positive and safe learning environment that is conductive to learning.

Your thoughts, concerns and questions are very much important to me. Please feel free to call or email me at any time. I will do my best to return your call or email  in a timely manner. To call me at school you may reach me at (919) 919-498-3331..ext 425 or by email at twilliams@harnett.k12.nc.us
