Meet the Teacher
Ms. Tewanda Smith

Hello fellow Eagles! I began my career in education in 2005. I graduated from Fayetteville State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English. After spending several years in the classroom, I made the transition to the media center while graduating from East Carolina University with my Masters degree in Library Science: School Librarianship.
I believe the influence of an educator should stretch far and every effort must be made to reflect on not just what we teach but how we teach. Therefore, it is my goal to provide and share the same rewarding experiences through the joy of reading and learning that I was fortunate to have throughout my journey of education.
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader”. - John Quincy Adams
"The beauty of life is to be outside the box, so that the box doesn't exist . . . To limit a human being to one mode of expression is really a crime". - Herbie Hancock
