My name is Andrea Sorto and I am 30 years old. I was born and raised in Honduras. I feel absolutely excited to introduce myself as your new Kindergarten teacher for Dual Immersion!

This will be my first year teaching Kindergarten and I've been a 2nd grade teacher for 6 years. I'm so glad I can share my knowledge, culture, traditions, and experience with you and your children.

I believe that all students are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, emotionally, mentally, and socially. I will provide a safe and fun environment where students are invited to share their ideas, get creative, and take risks embracing their uniqueness. I will incorporate hands-on activities, lots of reading, writing, games, and cooperative learning.

In my free time, I do enjoy running, exercising, cooking, reading, and going on trips, mostly around nature. I’m sure we will all have so much fun learning together this school year!
