Meet the Teacher
Ms. Dana Taylor

Hello and welcome to Johnsonville Elementary School! I am Mrs.Taylor. I have been at Johnsonville since 2006. I am a graduate of Central Michigan University and I have held teaching licenses in Michigan, Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas, and of course North Carolina. I have taught Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 4th grade, and I also volunteered as a reading tutor at a DOD’S school when I lived in Germany.
Reading and children’s literature are my passion. I hope to instill these “loves” in every child that enters my classroom.
Besides being a teacher, I am a mother of 5 grown children and a grandmother. I like to attend country music concerts and antique festivals. I used to enjoy camping but, as I have gotten older, sleeping on the ground in a tent has lost its appeal. LOL!
My favorite things, in no particular order, are: naps, Diet Coke, king crab, my kids, little pigs, Amazon, Wizard of Oz, my hammock, my backyard, periwinkle (the color not the flower), The Greatest Showman on Earth, teaching, my mom, thunderstorms, and my birthday.
