Welcome to Johnsonville Elementary School!

My name is Renee Gilmore and I am proud to serve as Principal at Johnsonville Elementary School. The children and families that we serve are my top priority and we are focused on creating the best educational learning environment for our students! This is my 24th year working for Harnett County Schools.  I graduated from Methodist College with a degree in Sociology and earned my Master's Degree from Campbell University in School Administration. I taught at Johnsonville for ten years in kindergarten, first grade, and fourth grade. I served as an Assistant Principal for eight years at Wayne Avenue, Buies Creek, and Johnsonville Elementary. I have three children of my own, one girl and two boys, ages 22, 25 and 30. My daughter graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, my youngest son graduated from East Carolina University and is a law student at North Carolina Central University in Durham. My oldest son resides in Concord, NC. 

You can be assured that when your children enter our doors each day, they will be in a caring and nurturing environment that encourages each child to learn at their highest level. We look forward to working together with the teachers, parents, and students here at Johnsonville to have a wonderful year.
