Join us for our PTO-sponsored event, Pastries with Pals, on Friday, January 30, 2026! The event will be held in the gym from 8:00–8:25 AM. Please be sure to arrive and be in line by 8:25 AM.
This special morning is a fun way for adults to show up for our students in a “sweet” way! 🍩💙 Students must be accompanied by an adult to enter the gym.
If your child eats breakfast at school, please have them do so as usual (either before or after Pastries with Pals, time permitting).

LaFayette Year-Round School will operate on a remote learning schedule , Monday, January 26, 2026, for all students and staff. Please make sure your student completes their Monday assignments in their snow packet so they can be counted present remotely. Hope you and your family are warm and safe. Our 5th and 6th grade students are excited to present a Reader’s Theatre performance of The Polar Express today, Thursday, December 18, 2025!

Our Angel Tree is now up in the lobby, and the Angels are ready to be chosen!
How to Participate:

*Go to the office and fill out the sign-up sheet!
*On the sign up sheet, please include the following:

*The color, letter and number of the Angel
*Go shopping for your Angel.
*Return the gifts — unwrapped — to the office by Tuesday, December 16th.

Come home to Harnett!
We will be hosting a face-to-face recruitment event on Tuesday, June 11 at the Harnett County Public Library and Resource Center. This is a floating event that will begin at 2:00 PM and end around 4:00 PM. We are currently recruiting for all positions, both certified and classified. Non-licensed applicants who hold a 4-year degree in any area are welcome to attend to learn more about alternative licensure pathways into the classroom.

SUN Bucks: A new food assistance program for school children.
Starting this summer, families that qualify can expect to receive $120 per eligible child in grocery-buying benefits on a debit-like card. These benefits can be used to purchase food at retailers that accept EBT, including most major grocery stores.

IMPORTANT: Some families will get benefits automatically sent to the mailing address in their child’s school record. Update your child’s mailing address by March 28th by contacting your child’s school.
