1st Grade Teacher
Welcome to First grade! My name is Whitney Harrison, and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year. I have a passion for fostering a love of learning in my students and creating a nurturing environment where they can thrive.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Fayetteville State University and have 10+ years of experience teaching young learners. I have been teaching with Harnett County Schools for 5 years.
I have a true passion for working with our youngest learners!! Helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academic, social, language, and motor—is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment.
When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy thrifting, traveling, and spending time with my family. I am excited to partner with you this year to support your child’s growth and development. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime at wharrison1@harnett.k12.nc.us.
Let’s make this a fantastic year in first grade!
