Meet the Teacher

Ms. Monica Kuznar

I am the 3rd Grade lead teacher at Lillington-Shawtown Elementary School.

I have been teaching for over 30 years and have served in many capacities and roles.  I am a graduate of East Carolina University twice (Bachelors and Masters) and Fayetteville State University (Masters).  I have taught all grades in elementary school and have taught in middle and high school.  I have served as a reading intervention teacher, a curriculum coach, Reading First Grant coordinator and an assistant principal.  I have worked in Cumberland County schools for 17 years, Wake County schools for 5 years, Johnston County schools for 1 year and in a Charter School for three years. This is my fourth year teaching in Harnett County.

I have a grown daughter and live in Angier, North Carolina and love working with students of all ages.

Homeroom 7:50-8:30

Core Instruction (ELA and SS) 8:30-11:10

Lunch and Recess 11:15-12:20

Core Instruction ( Math, Science) 12:20-3:00

Google Classroom

Google Classroom is an online platform that our school uses for classwork and communication.
Students will use their school Google account and password to log into their teacher's Google Classroom. Contact your child's teacher for this information as well as their class code.

Class DOJO is one way that I communicate with parents.
