Meet the Teacher
Mrs. Kathryn Matthews
I graduated from Campbell University in May 2012 with a BS degree in Elementary Education with a Middle Grades Extension in Math. This is my fourteenth year teaching and I'm very excited to continue my teaching career. I have always loved school and I love learning everything I can. I want my students to have this same attitude.
I live in Lillington and I'm proud to call Harnett County my home. My husband and I have two sons, named Wyatt and Lucas. Wyatt started Kindergarten this year and Lucas turned 1 over the summer. I enjoy fishing, kayaking, watching movies, going to the beach, doing sudoku puzzles, grilling, and spending time with my family and friends. I have two dogs, a rabbit, and lots of chickens and ducks so we stay busy outside a lot!
I look forward to working with the staff and students at LSES again this year and I cannot wait for another great year to start!

Google Classroom is an online platform that our school uses for classwork and communication.
Students will use their school Google account and password to log into their teacher's Google Classroom. Contact your child's teacher for this information as well as their class code.
