Tiffany Artis, Principal
I consider it a great honor to serve as the principal of Lillington-Shawtown Elementary School. This is my 19th year in education. My experience in education is diverse, having worked with PreK to 12th grade students. I have been a teacher assistant, third and fourth grade teacher, high school summer credit recovery facilitator, instructional coach, assistant principal, as well as a parent. My goals are to support teachers in providing differentiated instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of all of our students, help students develop goals for life beyond school, and work with families to support learning in the home. I believe in my heart that all students can learn and have different strengths and gifts that will benefit all. As an educator, it is my responsibility to meet students where they are and to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which they can thrive and develop a love of learning. This is going to be an amazingly wonderful year!
