My name is Jennifer Phillips. I teach second grade at Lillington-Shawtown. This will be my 29th year teaching. In 1992, I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from East Carolina University. I also hold a North Carolina license in Reading (K-12). In 1997, I earned my Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Fayetteville State University. I was honored to receive the Teacher of the Year Award at LSES for the 2017-2018 school year.
My husband, Paul and I moved to Lillington in November of 2006 with our two children. My children are "graduates" of LSES. This will be my sixth year teaching second grade after many years in kindergarten. I look forward to an exciting year.
