Welcome to the Counselor's Corner! We are so glad you are here! Mrs. Peterson and Mrs. Compton are the two counselors at Overhills Elementary. Our Counselor's Corner is a resource for our students and parents to use.

Mission Statement:

The mission of Overhills Elementary Counseling Program is to collaborate with our community and school to decrease barriers to encourage a healthy learning environment, academic success, and promote social/emotional development for all students by providing targeted interventions, proactive guidance, and individualized support. We strive to create a lasting positive impact on each student's school experience, ensuring they remain engaged, motivated, and prepared for educational lifelong learning and growth.

Vision Statement:

The vision of the Overhills Elementary Counseling Program is to produce students who are going to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to be successful and achieve personal and academic success. The counselors at Overhills Elementary will create a safe and inclusive space to encourage students to reach their full potential and become strong, resilient, empathetic and proactive members of society. We envision a future where every student transitions from elementary, to middle, to high school, and college equipped with the skills, confidence, and aspirations to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

Student Council

Student Council is made up 12 of our students who are in 4th and 5th Grade!

Student Council members are role models in the building. These students make good choices, work hard in school and set excellent examples for other students. Student Council members strive to make our school fun and inviting. They want to help others and make our school an awesome place to be!

Safety Patrol

The job of a safety patrol is to protect students by enforcing hallway rules on their way to and from the classroom. They also serve as models for younger students, who look up to them. Only students in 4th and 5th grade can serve as a safety patrol.
