About Me: 
I am Kerry Bacon, and I grew up in Southern Pines, graduating from Pinecrest High School in 1989.  I began my career as a teacher assistant and bus monitor in the Exceptional Education Department at Union Pines High School in Moore County Schools.  I would later move to Durham, NC, and graduate from NC Central University with a degree in Comprehensive Secondary Social Studies in 2010.  I built strong community ties at Durham School of the Arts, Hillside New Technology High School, and Durham Performance Learning Center before moving to Greensboro and working at Lucy C. Ragsdale High School in Jamestown, NC.  

In 2021, I was blessed to become the new head football coach here at Overhills High School, where I have the opportunity to build a strong relationship with the kids, colleagues, and the community.  I am going on my 29th season of coaching, and I am helping Overhills RISE 2 Greatness going forward.
