About me:

Hello my name is Mrs. Kimberly Crawford. This will be my 12th year teaching special education, but I have 17 years of experience in education.

I started off as a Teacher's Assistant at Glenwood Elementary in Chapel Hill, NC. I then received my teacher's license in SPED: General Education and started at Douglas Byrd High in Cumberland County as a Co-Teacher and teaching Study Skills. I then moved on to Pine Forest Middle School where I taught separate setting IDMI/AU students for 9 years. This will be my 3rd year at Overhills High school starting CoTaught Math.

I enjoy teaching students in special education and watching the students have growth academically, emotionally, and socially . It gives me a reason to keep teaching. I always encourage my students to always think positive and to never speak negativity on their lives.

When I am not in the classroom, I love cooking for my family and decorating our home. I also love video gaming, crocheting, reading, and shopping.
