Hey y'all!

I'm super excited to be teaching at Overhills High School again this year! Every year is a new adventure and this year is no different! My goal is to help each and every student become a better version of themselves through the written word and classroom discussions.

My life is a crazy adventure of being raised in Harnett Co, enjoying both public school and being homeschooled, six years active duty in the Navy, and numerous years working at restaurants. All this has led me to where I'm going to be able to bring the best out of each of my students.

I'm also a huge nerd! From Disney (Belle is my favorite!), to Harry Potter (guess my house), to Marvel, to Sherlock Holmes, to Doctor Who, and both Star Wars and Star Trek, there isn't anything I won't enjoy. I love reading fantasy, sci-fi (Frankenstein is one of my <3), fairytale retellings, and mystery books.

When I'm not at school, I enjoy playing DnD, diminishing my really long TBR, writing, working on my masters and spending time with my family.
