Ms. Blackstock is a New Hampshire native and has lived in NC for the last 17 years.  She earned her B.A. in Psychology and post-graduate teacher certification from Franklin Pierce University and holds an NC Professional Educator's Art and Elementary Education License. She has a passion for the arts and helping students develop confidence in expressing themselves artistically.  She has held art clubs and camps, taken students to the NC Museum of Art in Raleigh, and organized school art shows. 

Ms. Blackstock has supported students' artistic talents by entering them into contests such as the yearly NC Farm to School calendar contest, in which a student's artwork was chosen for the calendar, as well as other student accolades.   She showcased students' artwork in Harnett Off Broadway, in which students won first and second place out of the entire county grade level, two years running. Her previous school and students won awards in the Young Peoples' Fine Arts Festival in Moore County as well. When not at South Harnett Elementary you will find her hanging out with her family and dog, gardening, woodworking, doing artsy things, or drinking coffee.
