This year marks my 11th year as a Triton Hawk and 14th year as an educator in North Carolina. I am starting my 4th year as Triton High School's Instructional Technology Facilitator. I get to help provide technology and digital teaching resources to students, as well as guide teachers through training, tech obstacles, and the latest technology tools. Rather than focusing on a single classroom, as I have in the past as a History/Social Studies Teacher, I get to work everyday to make Triton the most up-to-date facility for harnessing and growing 21st Century technology skills within our teachers and students.
Outside of school, I am a proud mother of two boys, ages 11 & 7, as well as one sweet girl, age 5. My husband, Mr. Daniel Hoover, also works here, at Triton, and was the 2017 HCS CTE Employee of the Year. We are thoroughly a "Hawk Family!"
We take pride in our school and community. We love spending time together trying to keep up with our wild children, though at times they seem to run circles around us. These past few years have definitely been tough on our family, like so many of yours. We are hopeful that this new school year will bring all of our households happier days ahead.
