Mr. Daniel Hoover

Mr. Hoover is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor's degree in History and a Minor in Political Science.  He is in his tenth year of teaching in the NC public school system.  Prior to coming to Triton, he taught Civics and Economics at Cape Fear High School in Cumberland County.  He is currently a craft trades instructor at Triton who has over a decade of experience in the industry.  His upper-level classes are Electrical Trades I, II, and III.  He also teaches Construction Core, a prerequisite for the other skilled trades courses.  He is a certified instructor for the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and also facilitates a construction industry safety and health course through the Occupational Safety and Heath Administration (OSHA).  Students are able to earn several industry credentials through these courses with paid apprenticeships available for those who demonstrate proficiency.  Mr. Hoover also serves as an adviser for SkillsUSA, a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO).
