Triton High School MUST HAVE EACH of the following DIGITAL FORMS on file, within the current school year, from all enrollees. Paper versions will no longer be accepted formally:

  1. Parent/Guardian HCS Student-Technology Agreement

    PARENT/GUARDIAN (on file) Submission *REQUIRED* ANNUALLY

  2. HCS Photo/Video Release Form

    (NEW for 24/25: this form is now ONLY DIGITAL and included in the above linked Parent Student Technology Agreement)
    Harnett County Schools uses multimedia to share and highlight student work and achievements. During the current school year, your child’s photograph, video (live or pre-recorded), or original student work may be posted and shared in one of the following ways:

    1. Harnett County Schools web pages

    2. Harnett County Schools social media channels

    3. Presentations

    4. Student/School created broadcasts

    5. Printed publications such as newspapers, newsletters, magazines, flyers, etc.

    6. Students may be identified by name to provide them with positive recognition opportunities when appropriate. Your permission grants us approval to publicize without prior notification for the entirety of the school year.

    7. Consent remains valid throughout your student’s K-12 experience with the Harnett County School system or until a new form is completed and signed by a parent/legal custodian or eligible student.This Form can also be completed through the HCS Classlink launchpad.

(CIPA) Federally Mandated Child Internet Protection Act Compliance

Logging Into HCS issued Student Devices, ONLY:

  • PERSONAL DEVICES ARE PROHIBITED on the Triton High School Wifi Network, and linking to it in ANY WAY, can result in a serious VIOLATION of Technology Use Policies.  Students in Violation of HCS Technology Acceptable Use may be subject to, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Suspension of Student's Accounts, Disciplinary Action, Loss of 1-to-1 Device Privileges, $$$ for Damages to Network or Devices, Restriction of Technology on All HCS Campuses, Etc. 

  • When first turning on your HCS-issued Student device, you should ONLY see one of the two screens below.

IF NOT, your device may be vulnerable or at-risk of introducing harmful events into our Triton High School Network. 

GMAIL ACCESS:

  1. Log into ANY (Teacher-provided) HCS Issued Device or Library Desktop Using ONLY Your harnettstudents.org Gmail Account as Username + Student ID# (lunch #) as Password.  If the Student ID is less than 8 digits, zeros will be placed in front until it = 8 digits.  

  2. This harnettstudents.org email will be provided by either one of your teachers, THS's Data Manager, THS's Tech. Facilitator - C.Hoover, or THS's Media Coordinator - S.Autry.

  3. Checking Grades & Attendance:

  4. Claiming Your NCEdCloud / RapidIdentity / PowerSchool Account for the FIRST TIME:

  5. You must be on an HCS-issued Dell Laptop or Desktop with Windows Operating System to INITIALLY Claim your Account and set Password.  See Document below for Steps.
