A Little About Me:

Hello! I’m Alicia Beck, and I’m thrilled to be an agriculture educator at Triton High School. I bring three years of teaching experience from Willow Spring High School in Wake County, where I taught Agriscience Applications, Horticulture 1, and Horticulture 2.

I graduated cum laude with edTPA honors from North Carolina State University, where I developed a strong foundation in agriculture and effective teaching practices.

My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students' basic needs first to create a supportive learning environment. I believe it's essential to teach students that it's okay to fail and to foster a growth mindset. My aim is to help students develop the skills they need to face real-world challenges with confidence and resilience.

Outside of teaching, I love gardening, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, and shopping. These hobbies not only bring me joy but also inspire my teaching and help me connect with my students on a more personal level.

I’m excited to continue making a positive impact at Triton High School and to contribute to a vibrant and inclusive learning community.
