Greetings and Welcome to my class!!

Welcome to Wayne Avenue Elementary School and the 2021-2022 school year! I pray you and your family had a relaxing summer vacation. I am ecstatic that your child will be a part of my 4th-grade class this year and will be joining “Ms. Simmons Supernovas!”

"A Little About Me"

My name is Miranda Simmons. I was born and raised in Harnett County. I graduated Cum Laude from Fayetteville State University (Bronco Pride), with a Bachelor of Science degree. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education. This is my 4th year at Wayne Avenue Elementary School and I truly love what I do! I have an amazing set of parents and godparents, 1 sister, 1 brother; both are teachers; 4 god sisters, and 1 astonishing niece, who is the apple of my eye. When I am not teaching at Wayne Avenue Elementary; I'm the Assistant Financial Secretary at Church, work on the Social Media Ministry at church, serve as the Secretary for a nonprofit organization called "Pretty In Pink Ministry," which assists individuals diagnosed with cancer and I am the owner/founder of "Simmons Flyer Designs."  I enjoy reading, watching movies, and spending time with my amazing family and friends during my downtime. As your child's teacher, I pledge to create a positive and constructive educational environment and I am dedicated to their academic excellence. I have an "open-door policy" so please feel free to ask questions and voice any concerns. I can be reached via email or call the school. I look forward to teaching your child and thanks in advance for your help!
