NC Curriculum Standards

Child Development I

  • Understand the effects of the family as a system on individuals and society.

  • Understand conditions that influence prenatal development.

  • Understand physical development from birth to age 5.

  • Understand how children develop.

  • Understand cognitive development from birth to age 5.

  • Understand emotional and social development from birth to age 5.

Apparel and Textile Production I

  • Understand the apparel industry and design

  • Understand textiles

  • Understand apparel engineering

Class Supply List:

  • 1 -3-Ring Binder (1.5 inch) (for apparel only)

  • 1- composition notebook (for child development only)

  • Loose Leaf paper for the 3-ring binder

  • 1 box of tissues

Optional:

  • Markers, colored pencils, crayons (student preference)

  • Construction paper or colored cardstock to use in interactive notebook 

  • Stickers to decorate items in interactive notebooks (school appropriate)

  • Glue Sticks
