Wendy Moorehead
Hello! I am so excited to be the Media Coordinator at Western Harnett High this year. This is my 20th year in education and my 10th year as a Media Coordinator. One of my passions is to help students discover the joy of reading. I believe that the Media Center is the heart of the school, providing a space and resources to meet everyone's needs. All students, staff and parents are always welcome to visit our Media Center!
I am married and have 2 children - Zack and Bella, and 6 cats. In my free time, I enjoy reading, running, gardening, and spending time outdoors and just being with my family, friends and pets.

Daily Schedule
The Media Center is open from 7:20a.m. - 3:00p.m. on school days. Classes and small groups can be scheduled, and teachers can reserve Media Center space as needed for special lessons and projects. Teachers should check the Media Center Calendar and email Ms. Moorehead for more info.
Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is a reading program that encourages students to read engaging literature and participate in friendly competition with other students answering questions about the chosen books.
