Meet the Choir Director
Ms. Pazur
Rachel Pazur is an artist, vocalist, composer, and instructor of high merit. She is entering her third year as the Director of Choral Ensembles at Western Harnett High School. Ms. Pazur has just finished her first summer working for NCDPI at the North Carolina Governor's School, assisting with the instruction of "NC's Best and Brightest" High School students. As a first generation student, Ms. Pazur completed her Undergraduate studies in Music at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with supplemental studies in History and Psychology. She has a history of performance in the UNCG Opera program and Greensboro Opera. She currently regularly performs at many venues in the Triangle, using both her own album and others. She also teaches private instruction in guitar, ukulele, drums, piano, voice, flute, and saxophone. As much as she adores her private students, she has always known she needed to teach in a public setting to reach as many students as she possibly could, sharing her love of music and passion for it. Dedicated to music literacy, it is her goal to have a choir full of students who not only sing music, but can read it and write it as well. She is building the WHHS program up to meet not only her high standards, but the State’s as well. Passionately, the music will always come first, and she hopes that her students take these high standards with them throughout all aspects of their lives.
