I am Mrs. Stull and I am so excited to be the Peer Tutoring Coordinator at Western! Our main focuses are building leadership skills, developing relationships, and growing as a person; all of these things we do through helping others. Peer Tutoring is like no other class taught at WHHS! 

Requirements for acceptance into the Peer Tutoring Program:

• Desire to help others

• 3.3 unweighted GPA

• Rising sophomore's GPA of 3.8 or higher unweighted

• Application (see link below, closed after registration but can be reopened upon guidance counselor request) 

• Two teacher recommendations

Because of the unique nature of this class, attendance is imperative. Please understand that being present and on time in class is the only way to form relationships with your teachers and tutees, keep up with the material, and be an asset to the class. Peer Tutoring is just one of those classes that being here makes a total difference in your ability to do the course. 

The attendance policy for the course is as follows: After 7 excused absences, you will not receive credit for that day on your weekly check-in sheet. This will result in losing 15 points for that day (75 points for five consecutive days without an option to complete the reflection for the week). If an absence is unexcused, there will be a 15-point deduction for that day.
