I graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Education with a focus on MSL (Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies).
National Board Certified Teacher, NBCT
I am also certified to teach high school English and History.
EXPERIENCE
This is the start of my 14th year teaching Language Arts for 7th grade.
ABOUT ME
I am married to a wonderful man and we have a daughter named Aubrey who is 8, and a son Flynn, who is 5. I like to do artistic and crafty things, enjoy squirrels, traveling, learning new things, reading, being outside, and cheese biscuits.
I LOVE my job and am very excited for this year!

Google Classroom
Google Classroom is utilized for classroom instruction, communication and collaboration. Students use their harnettstudents.org Google accounts to have access to assignments, resources, and content. Using the Internet, students have access anytime and anywhere to posted assignments, due dates, as well as supporting curriculum resources.

Achieve 3000
Students will be working on reading articles to increase their reading lexile level. This site can be accessed through Classlink.
