We are proud to announce that Xandrea McNeill earned 4th place at the Regional Science Olympiad Competition in the Water Quality event!
The Water Quality event challenges students to apply their knowledge of aquatic ecosystems, chemistry, and environmental science to analyze water systems. Competitors demonstrate understanding of water pollution, treatment processes, bioindicators, watershed dynamics, and water quality testing. The event requires strong content knowledge and critical thinking as students interpret data, identify organisms, and propose solutions to real-world environmental issues.
Placing 4th at the regional level is a tremendous accomplishment, reflecting dedication, teamwork, and commitment to scientific excellence. We are incredibly proud of all our team members hard work and the way they represented our school.

Students will be asked to select their top 8 elective choices (a copy of the registration form is attached) when they register for classes on 2/27. Please also mark your calendars for March 19th for a Parent Night at Triton.
We are excited to share that our very own CEMS pep band was invited to perform at a home basketball game at Campbell University! This is a huge opportunity for the students to showcase their hard work, and we need your help to make this experience unforgettable. Spring Sports(Baseball, Softball, and Girls Soccer) tryouts will start on Thursday, February 12th, after school until 5:00 pm. Students must have an active physical on file on Aktivate in order to tryout.
If you have not been receiving messages regarding athletics from Aktivate, please check your spam folder. It has been brought to our attention that parents have not been receiving athletic updates via email due to this issue.
We look forward to our Spring Sports season and encourage any student eligible and interested to try out. If you have any questions, please contact our Athletic Director, Jamie Panfil, at jpanfil@harnett.k12.nc.us.
