We are pleased to inform you that we will begin afterschool tutoring on February 26, 2024. Some students received a personal invitation to join us on Mondays and Wednesdays for extra help in Math and/or Reading. Tutoring letters were sent home the early part of last week. We need for all letters to be returned to your child's teacher as soon as possible. If you are not sure if your child received a letter OR if you would like for your child to attend tutoring, please contact their teacher or an administrator at your convenience.

Due to potential inclement weather, Harnett County Schools will operate on an asynchronous remote learning schedule on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Students who do not have mobile capabilities will not be penalized. This is an opportunity for students to complete any/all missing assignments, work on projects, catch up on classwork, and read library books. We do apologize for any inconvenience.

Wave IDOL will be held tomorrow evening in the auditorium. The cost of admission is $5.00. Please come support our DMS student talent. There will be guest appearances from former wave idol contestants as well as performances by DMS teachers. We are expecting Santa to slide through as well. Don't miss it!

Auditions for Greenwave Idol will be tomorrow after school beginning @3:15 pm. Students must have a signed permission slip in order to audition. Parent pick up is no later than 4 pm.
Thanksgiving break begins Wednesday, November 22nd Students return Monday, November 27th.

Parents, your student is able to turn in order forms and money for our DMS PTO Wave Card Fundraiser tomorrow. Wave cards are $10 each. Our PTO will be on campus during homeroom to collect ay order forms, money, and to distribute cards/prizes to participants.

Boys' and girls' basketball tryouts will begin Monday, November 13th. Girls' practice will begin right after school and end at 4:00. Boys' practice will begin at 4:00 and end at 6:00 . Please be on time picking up your child. Each student must have a current physical and all paperwork completed in Aktivate to try out.
